But you can use any authenticator app that supports TOTP. Please search your phone for "authenticator" to see whether any authenticator apps exist in your phone. As with Google, Microsoft prompts you to use its own authenticator app (Microsoft Authenticator). What if I can't find the authenticator app? You can find the code in your chosen Authenticator App on your mobile device. Once you enable 2-Step Verification by Authenticator App, you will be asked to enter a code every time that you log in with your password or login with Email OTP. Enter this on the Wellfound page to complete the setup of 2-step authentication. Some apps you can choose are Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Duo, Twilio Authy. When this is done, your authenticator application will generate a 6-digit verification code. These codes are only valid for a short time before the new code is generated. Open the authenticator app and look for the code associated with your Wellfound login. We will take a screenshot of the QR code, and every time we scan that code, we will get the same accounts back. You will need to use open the authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or Duo) that you used when setting up the 2-factor authentication. Note: You can generate up to five active backup codes at any given time. This extra layer of security is set up by the user, not Wellfound. Enter the backup code youve generated to log into the site. Click the Generate new backup codes button. Under the Security section, click Two-Factor Authentication.
